Porch Renovation - Preconstruction survey

The porch renovation (well, replacement really) is about to begin. Here is the last series of photos ever taken of the original porch.

	Here is the bad and good news - carpenter ant damage. The bad news is that it happened at all. If you look at what they did, it's pretty amazing. We knew there was going to be damage. The good news is that the damage is limited to this section of the porch. One rafter and the support beam have to be replaced, but everyone (Mark and myself, the contractors, the neighbors, etc) were all dreading pulling the porch apart after seeing this expecting much more damage.
