Construction Week 20 (Mar 26-30)

The study is just about done now. The book cases on the south wall are install (sans shelfs - that should be in next week), the seat for the window seat is complete and the cap piece on the wainscotting is done. For the most part, all that remains of the study is putting the back banding around the doors/windows, finishing the wood, installing the door hardware, refinishing the floor and hooking up the electrical.

The living room north wall is completed. The front door is installed (though no actual hardware on it yet!) and the window and front door trim and wainscotting is complete. Some additional trim work was done on the columns - minor but nice trim at the top and bottom of the columns.

The fireplace is hooked up and works (yeah!) Now we still need to trim it out, but at least is works now. We did have a gas leak for a while, but that was eventually fixed.

This shows the living room through the screen wall. You can see the extra trim around the column tops and bottoms as well as the front door and some of the trim on that wall.
This is the north wall. You can see the windows and wainscotting trimmed out
This is a view of the north side of the study. You can sort of see the window seat in profile
This shows the south east wall of the study including the book shelves (well, 2 or the three) in the back on the south wall.
