Construction Week 30 (May 24-Jun 8)

Things are pretty much done in the front few rooms. We have one more door knob to put up and some finish touch up as well as wall papering the dining room. But we've "moved in" - our furniture is in place! And yeah, we know there is a lot of dust on everything still.

This is a view of the living room from the study. You can see the study doors and some of the living room furniture
This is a view of the west side of the living room looking south west
This is a view of the north west side of the living room. If you look carefully, you can see the touch screen (between the study and closet door) is alive and active.
Heres another view of the living room, showing the tile on the fireplace, the furniture, book cases and the woodwork around the windows.
Here's the entryway. You can sort of see the entryway tile, though this picture does not do it justice. Its a bit darker than normal as the entry door window is temporarily covered up while the porch construction is underway.
Here's a view of the west wall of the living and dining room as taken from the living room.
Heres a view of the dining room from the study. Sorry for the crazy weird angle this photo has - not sure what the heck was happening (maybe I was tripping over an ottoman?)
Another view of the living room and dining room as taken from the kitchen. You can see how the living room connects to the dining room. You can also see the
Heres a closer picture of the dining room light. Most of the lighting in the place is new, but this fixture has been in Marks family for 3 generations. It's really beautiful (again, the photo doesn't do it justice). Theugly wall behind it is just primed drywall - we still need to hang the wall paper in there.
This is a view of the study from the living room. You can see the really incredible and comfortable Morris chairs. We had them built by Keith Roy in Holt Michigan. You can check out his work at their website.
Here is a view of the south side of the study showing the chairs and the book cases. And don't let the paltry number of books concern you - we have lots more to put on it when we finally clear out the garage (though not nearly enough to fill all the bookshelves - I've still got a good 40-50 year in me to collect :-)
Here is a view of the window seat (north wall of the study). It came out incredible and it's actually a great place to sit
This somewhat out of focus picture shows the door knobs that are on the study doors and are being installed on many other interior doors in the house.
Here is a switch plate. Unfortunately, it's sort of hard to see the details inside the plate - I'll try to get a better picture later. Like the door knob plates, it's a heavy brass plate with a dimpled field and the checker board corner pattern.
