Siding Removal Project, July 6th 1999

July 6th - D-day for this project (D for Done - at least the removal, that is). The plan is to completely remove the siding from the west side of the house like we did on the east side. Obstacles include the neighbors (trying to not annoy or kill them and not trash their house), potential thunderstorms and about 20 wires and cables (electric, phone, cable) coming into the house on that side.

By Noon, much of the second floor is done, but the area over the utility feeds is posing a problem...

And finally, the removal was done

There is still a lot of work to be done. Getting rid of the old siding should take most of the coming day and then we need to look at repairing the parts of the siding and trim that need it. But we are done the worst of it - yeah!
