Construction Week 11 (Jan 22-26)

It's been a while since we updated. In that time, the exterior window casings have been cleaned up (the aluminum covering them - the last part of the old siding - has been removed and new trim to fill in the wood hacked out when the vinyl replacement windows were installed) . The basement access was changed from the kitchen to the dining room. The gas line for the fire place was installed (though in the wrong place) and the electricians came through and installed the wiring (I installed the new HA wiring).

This is the new basement access after it's been framed in.
This is the dining room east wall. They stripped the old drywall off the south wall, exposing the plaster and some hideous old wallpaper. You can see the east wall has been insulated, though the drywall and plaster was stripped off.
This is the living room. You can see the insulation was installed and the fireplace box is installed.
This is the front door. It's not stained yet or installed, but you can see the look of it, the corbels and the glass. The glass will eventually be replaced with a stained glass panel (yeah, when I get all that time...)
